About Hokulani Holt-Padilla
Maui's master kumu hula. A Hawaiian culture and language specialist. The Cultural
Programs Director at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. A founder
of Pünana Leo O Maui Hawaiian language immersion preschool.
The first program coordinator of Maui's Nä Pua No'eau center for gifted
and talented native Hawaiian children. A graduate of Kamehameha Schools
and the University of Hawai'i. A mele and chant composer. A
mother and a grandmother. A teacher who has given tirelessly, selflessly
and lovingly of her time and knowledge to her community for many years.
An amazing woman who now asks for her community's help in making a dream
come true.
